An introduction to some of the archive material relating to science , digitised thanks to a grant from Science for Seminaries.
A day-conference on ‘Baptist Perspectives on Science and Religion’ was held on 24 & 25 September 2025.
To celebrate and reflect the achievements of the Baptist men and women who contributed towards scientific advancement, we have digitised material relating to the work of:
- William Carey (1761-1834), botanist and horticulturalist
- George Grenfell (1849-1906), navigator and geographer / explorer
- Dr Ellen Farrer (1865-1959), founder of the Farrer hospital in Bhiwani, India
